journey to the west

just came back from night cycling after sending jerald and u-jin home. really enjoyed myself. haha, but my butt is SO sore now... we cycled from east coast to bukit timah (al azhar) for supper, meeting up with some others, then cycled all the way back to east coast. haha so tiring. total cycling time was abt 4 hrs, covering 45km liddat.

u know when we were just about to start it started to rain?? haiyoh, so sian. and the rain didn't seem to go, so just when it got down to a drizzle we decided to start our pilgrimage, if not we would NEVER complete the route. it was enjoyable at first, but the rain certainly dampened our spirits, especially along the bukit timah road stretch where the road seemed never ending, and was filled with puddles of water which we tried so futily to avoid... so the result was tt we got splashed from top to bottom - by rain which seemed to get heavier by the minute, and by the splashing of water from the puddles, which seemed ultra-gross considering some even splashed onto my lips.

haiz. i think all the pple were very demoralised, and we just couldn't wait to reach our supper destination.

well, we finally did at 0330 after 2 hours of cycling! hardcore lor! and we were all damn shagged liao... just plonked down and stoned. ordered wonderful tissue prata and a milo dinosaur. haha anyone knows what is it? took a picture of it, prob will post it later. anyway met abiel and nabil there, together with melvin (the rugger). think they came for supper after clubbing. haha. so long never see them liao, so it was good catchup. jerald commented tt abiel is very 'model-ish' i.e. v good looks. which prompted u-jin to move his seat away from j and give him a sneaky stare. haha. tingting's rxn was super funny also.

oh yes, in ocs i'd heard rumours of abiel's dad's car. which was supposed to be super lao pok (although his family is v well to do), simply cause his dad doesn't believe in buying a decent one (to say the least). but guess what?!? seems like times have changed and abiel was driving a mitsuibishi Z3. wow. well, it didn't really appeal to me much cause i really know NUTS abt these cars, but apparently it was something to swoon over, as jerald and u-jin kindly demonstrated. ting ting and i were just nodding our heads in sympathetic agreement. :)

it was so funny to cause when we were eating our food the rain was still on. with our sore butts and high-tendency-to-close eyelids, we were in fact thinking of ways to avoid cycling back to east coast, and yet could return the bikes (which of course were rented). well, think and think and think but in the end the best decision was to cycle back the 20 odd km all the way back to the eastern land. cab too exp liao lar. and also hard to fit the bike into the boot.

because it was raining and there were billions of puddles around which were impossible to avoid, we inevitably rode into some of them and resulted in a backspray of grim, dirt and rain onto our backs... which was nicely covered by my bagpack. which in turn contained my car keys. smart. v smart. cause when i reached al azhar and reached into my bag, i realised tt my carkeys were soaked in rain and tt it was going mad. the light was on all the time (which is not supposed to be, but onli so when i depress either the 'lock' or 'unlock' buttons.)

it's terrible lar. i was so distressed. just pray in tongues lor and even lay hands. haha. but the time when i left al azhar it was still spoilt...

the cycling back was much more easy cause by the time we left the rain had stopped. there were less puddles too and we also went at a faster speed. wah very shiok! with the cold, after-rain fresh air blowing into your face. something very amusing happened when we were passing through orchard. what happened was tt we stopped outside this condominium for a short rest and then this security guard appeared out of nowhere and started lecturing us (in a rather condescending manner) as to the importance of safety when night cycling... haha siao. but we were just smiling and nodding our heads before we found the opportunity to cut into his lecture and ask him, "uncle arr, how come u're out so late?" -- for it was FOUR in the morning. well, obviously we knew he was a security guard, but just wanted to stop his nagging and have our break in peace. haha. thankfully he got off the topic when s resident was at the gantry and he walked over. haha, escape opportunity. and we took full advantage of it.

well, we found ourselves back at east coast soon (well, it took us 2 hrs still) and the trip back was more enjoyable than the trip there. can u imagine our joy when we finally turned onto east coast park? haha. i had intended to capture the sunrise on camera but it was rather cloudy and the sunrise wasn't very visible. a very interesting observation at east coast park was that pple could actually play taichi to music of the great singapore workout?!?! i pei(4) fu(2) until wu(2) ti(3) tou(2) di(4)... i also heard got more powderful grps can even go along with the tunes of shang(4) hai(3) tan(1)...

tired. don't know why i'm blogging at this time. i've alot more to say abt the results of clinical groupings but probably not now. yep it's settled, but thought i should pen down my thoughts.

later got zhou jie lun concert! haha. excited. *gleams*
